The Big City Slider Station Infomercial Review

The Big City Slider Station Infomercial Review

To me the Big City Slider Station at first glance seemed like another one of those useless kitchen tools that I would buy because my wife tells me we need (we are still in the stage of getting all the household items one “needs” as described by the newlyweds magazines) And what happens, it inevitably ends up sitting in the back of the pots/pans cupboard waiting, even begging us to use it. However, let me be the first to tell you that I was wrong, (don’t tell my wife I said that).

I honestly can say that this has come in so handy when trying to feed the nephews and nieces because it pops out perfectly sized burgers for their little hands. You ever see a four year old try to eat an adult sized burger? Well, I have and I have also cleaned up after them. No fun for anyone but the kids.

Now that I have the Big City Slider Station, I can (very easily) make five mini burgers at a time to satiate my sister’s kids unending appetites. Who else besides little kids can benefit from this invention, you ask? Well, all I do is make ten, (that’s only two rounds of cooking) and the kids go through their fill and I pick off any stragglers left over. It works out great. Plus it is easy to clean. Besides, if Billy Mays says it good, it must be.

TOOL BANDIT: Infomercial Review

TOOL BANDIT: Infomercial Review

I wrote a letter today and thought I'd share it with you.

"Mr. Infomercial Announcer: Billy Mays;

I am writing in response to your television infomercial for Tool Bandit.

I find your commercials to be most amusing. Never before has a television salesman not only kept my attention for an entire ninety seconds, but also left me quite entertained. I am a frequent user of several of your products, including Oxyclean, Steam Buddy, and more. I have used these products for years, and have been very satisfied with the results. I was most delighted with your infomercial for Tool Bandit. I trusted that I would have a similar experience in purchasing and using Tool Bandit and would only add to my collection of Trusted Billy Mays Endorsed Products. (Catchy, aye?) However, this is not the reason for my correspondence.

Upon receiving my order of Tool Bandit, I attached a twenty-five pound weight to it just as you demonstrated. Mr. Mays, I am extremely disappointed in the fashion in which Tool Bandit "helped" me paint my garage. After enduring just eight hours of painting, I must admit that the convenience of having all of my tools magnetically bonded to my forearm was a luxury well worth my $19.95 plus shipping and handling. However, enduring eight hours of paining with a twenty-five pound weight on my forearm, was not worth any cost. I hope you will keep this in mind as you film future infomercials.

Sincerely yours,

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome affected (former) Consumer

Billy Mays - King of the Infomercial Pitchmen

Billy Mays (June 20, 1958 – June 28 2009)

Billy Mays left us, unexpectedly, on Sunday, June 18, 2009. Famous for his in-your-face LOUD style of promotion helped to introduce a generation of shoppers to the innovations of buying products As Seen on TV products.
As the long-time Pitchman King of infomercial products, he will be remembered fondly for his intro “Hi, Billy Mays here...” as well as the innovative products he promoted including OxiClean, ICanHealth, Mighty Putty, Omni Saw and others.
Along with co-host and fellow pitchman Anthony Sullivan, Billy Mays hosted a highly successful TV show that tested infomercial products called The Pitchmen.

EZ BUNDLER with Billy Mays: Infomercial Review

EZ BUNDLER: Infomercial Review

There are a few things you should know about Billy Mays. First, he is not a famous baseball player from yesteryear (That was Willie). Second, he never talks; he always yells. And third, he is the king of the infomercials in the 21st century, much as Ron Popeil (of RONCO and Pocket Fisherman fame) was in the 1970s and 80s.

And so he's back screaming his way through this new commercial for the EZ Bundler. The idea is simple: It takes just a matter of a few seconds to bundle together just about anything that neds bundling. Logs, lumber, newspapers, probably even “the money you could be saving with Geicko.”

But see, Billy Mays is always a bit over the top. For instance, he proudly boasts that EZ Bundler can hold these two cinder blocks without breaking. But why? What exactly is the purpose of using any kind of rope or twine or ties to hold a single block?

And did I mention he yells? A lot! Is anyone really this excited about a new way to tie things together?

Willy tells me he'll sell me this incredible device for just $19.95.

“But wait!” Of course. Don't we always have to wait in these things, since there's always “more”? He'll send me a second one, but only if I order now. So apparently Billy is a psychic and knows when I'm ordering. Because then and only then will he send me the second one.

I'm going to give EZ Bundler a try. I'm a sucker for every kind of tool out there. And besides, my girlfriend said she's buying me one for our anniversary.

Guess what – or WHO – SHE wants to tie up?
